Hi-
Yes, it is on our to-do list to implement all of our plug-ins in VST3 format, as well as adding sidechain capability to the applicable VST2 versions. Unfortunately, we currently have higher priorities, so I'm afraid I can't say when it will be available.
-Tom
Any news on this, sidechain in the VST version would make it so much more useful.
I can't give any guarantees on when it will be available, but it is on the short term roadmap.
Hi,
I would like just to add that I am probably one of many crossing fingers for implementation of side-chain capability in VST version of Eventide plugins :)
Regards,
Piotr
HI,
Our VST2 plugins now have sidechain, where applicable.
Fantastic news :) Thank you very much :)
Happy Eastern for all hardworking people from Eventide :)
Hi. am not seeing this in the latest update of Ultra-Channel?
Cubase 10
Hey, it's unfortunately a bit tricky to do this with VST2 in Cubase. Please see the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzbeYuzmwI0
Hey yes, I know how to do a side-chain in Cubase, I'm wondering why it still hasn't been implemented directly in the plugin Ultrachannel.
Hi-
It is implemented in the current VST2, it's just hard to set up in Cubase.
VST3 support will make the sidechain more directly available.
-Tom
Ahh okay, so VST3 support is coming then?
Yes, it's being actively worked on.
Exciting
Do you know what the eta is?
I want to time capsule my Windows 7 machine and this plugin is on the list. I want time to test everything before the machine goes offline FOREVER.
Trouble is that video is sidechaining VST3, not VST2.
It must be possible to do it - Reaper & Studio one 4 both sidechain VST2 plugins.....
