Expression Send/MIDI Messages

So I have purchased a low impedance Roland EV-5 expression pedal in hoping that I will be able to get a manual WET/DRY flex... and I am having a hard time getting a Extension/Send set up for this purpose. I know the pedal works, because it actually changes presets + each time Toes go up.

Could someone walk through how to establish expression in a Shifter algorithm, such as DiatonicShift2? I would really like to have Toe up - Dry (0%), Toe down - Wet (100%).
