Volume prob when switching presets

Ok, I'm using the h9 in the effects loop of my evh5150iii. When I switch patches (staying on the same amp channel) the volume cuts for a second to almost nothing, then it sounds like it swells back up. The delay is significant enough that's it's causing a problem. Anyone know if there is something that can be changed to fix this?

While a preset is loading, the unit is bypassed. This may cause phase cancellation if you are using a parallel effect loop. If this is the case, try setting KILLDRY to On.

Interesting.. It is a serial loop. I will have to try bypassing it on and off to see if I get the same thing
