Activations/Registration
You will need to provide three peices of information as part of this process:
1. iLok.com User ID & License Manager If you don’t have an ilok.com account, you can create one for free by visiting iLok.com Download and install the free iLok License Manager to activate and manage your plug-in licenses. 2. Eventide Account If you don't have an Eventide account, Click here to Register. A confirmation email will be sent after completion. If you don't see it, check your spam folder. 3. Serial Number & License KeyThe Serial Number will be two letters followed by 6 numbers (i.e SR-######). The License Key will be 3 sets of 4 characters, a letter or a number, each; like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.
Received a free plug-in? If you received a license for UltraChannel or EQuivocate through a giveaway, they cannot be registered to your Eventide account. Ownership (and upgrade eligibility) is verified via iLok. Installation files are available here.
Registering Your Plug-in with Eventide Register your plug-in using your Eventide account, iLok user ID, serial number and license key. Activating Your Plug-in Find your plug-in license in the iLok License Manager and activate it on your computer. Download the plug-in installer and run it on the same computer as your DAW and iLok License Manager. Launch your DAW. If you do not see the plug-in, you may need to rescan.Compatibility
Yes, you can import your presets from 2016 Stereo Room into the SP2016 plugin. Presets for Eventide plugins are stored by default under ~/Documents/Eventide/[Name of plugin]/Presets on Windows, ~/Music/Eventide/[Name of plugin]/Presets on Mac.
First, make sure you are using the latest version of 2016 Stereo Room. Second, you may need to re-save any presets you would like to move from the 2016 Stereo Room plugin. Then all you will need to do is copy your desired presets from the 2016 Stereo Room presets folder into the SP2016 Reverb presets folder. They are compatible, but will not sound exactly identical because of the SP2016 Reverb's hardware modeling. The algorithm that will load up with these copied presets is the Vintage Stereo Room, as it is the most similar.
Note: The input gain scaling is different in the SP2016 Reverb, so while the parameters load up and display the same values between the two plugins, you may need to adjust the input gain to get the same input level from the SP2016 Reverb. However, an input gain value of zero will be at the same level.
We currently test our plug-ins with the following DAWs:
Ableton Live, Cubase, FL Studio, Logic, Pro Tools, and Studio One.If you experience problems with other DAWs, please post in our Plug-in Forum and we will do our best to investigate.
General
No, the crossgrade promotion from Anthology XI or 2016 Stereo Room does not require any license surrenders.
Eventide plug-ins do not require an iLok USB dongle, but to activate, you need an iLok user ID and the free software iLok License Manager. Visit iLok.com for more information.
In order to authorize your plug-in you need to install the iLok License Manager from www.ilok.com and activate the license to your computer or iLok license dongle. Even if you have a licensed iLok plugged in, the iLok License Manager must be installed.
Note for Mac users running 32-bit DAWs: Eventide no longer supports 32-bit installers, which could also cause this issue in your setup if you are running current plugins on an old platform.
The 2016 Stereo Room plugin is a recreation of only the Stereo Room algorithm, whereas the SP2016 Reverb recreates the Room, Stereo Room, and High Density Plate algorithms from the original SP2016 hardware box. The SP2016 Reverb plugin also more faithfully recreates aspects of the original hardware like the filters in the converters, the bit rate, and sample rate which make it a very authentic recreation of the original unit.
In other words, the 2016 Stereo Room plugin is a really great reverb algorithm, while the SP2016 Reverb is like having a really rare piece of hardware in your DAW.
There are several reasons you may see this error, but a common one is a mismatch of the serial number format. All Eventide plug-ins have a serial number in the form of XX-###### where XX represents a two letter sequence defining the product type and ###### is a 6 digit number. All plugins also have a 16 digit license key in the format ****-****-****-**** where each * can be either a letter or number. The license key is entered on the second page of the registration process.
If you believe your serial number and license key are entered correctly, please contact our Support department and we will solve the problem as quickly as possible.
