Job Description

Eventide's Audio Division, located in Little Ferry, NJ seeks an Audio Quality Assurance Engineer to dedicate themselves to improving, maintaining and guaranteeing the quality of our hardware and software audio products. This is an opportunity to join a small team of dedicated Software & Hardware Product Developers in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should share our passion for music and audio as well as demonstrate a talent for detail-oriented, persistent and painstaking product testing.

  • Build, maintain and extend automated test systems for audio hardware products
  • Work with developers to understand the products, develop and execute test plans, and provide both practical and aesthetic feedback regarding all aspects of the product through the entire development cycle
  • Collect, verify, and report bugs and issues from alpha/beta testers
  • Think outside the box to test/exercise products under the widest possible range of circumstances and configurations
  • Assist in the writing, revision and editing of technical documentation, including specifications, manuals, and customer support material


  • 4 year degree in Computer or Electrical engineering (or similar) preferred, or comparable related experience
  • Experience with audio equipment, especially stompboxes, synthesizers and rack effects processors
  • Basic understanding of digital audio formats (AES/EBU, ADAT, Dante, MADI, etc.) and clocking
  • Critical evaluation and troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Python or another scripting language
  • Experience with C++ or other compiled languages strongly preferred
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g. JIRA) and revision control software (e.g. git)
  • Experience with continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins) and automated testing a plus
  • Experience with Linux a plus
  • Prior experience as a beta tester a plus

IT Systems Administrator:

Eventide Inc is looking to hire a full time IT Systems Administrator to support our growing infrastructure and compliance needs.  This role is key to enabling the successful deployment, maintenance, and maturation of our internal systems. Our environment is fast paced and grows with market, compliance, and development advancements. We understand the breadth of the challenges faced in this role and know it takes a special person to fill the position.


  • Work independently to manage the procurement, deployment, administration, maintenance, and support of company IT assets.
  • Administer day-to-day IT systems operations by proactively monitoring and resolving problems with end user accounts, computing environments, backups, server notifications, network notifications, anti-virus, and disaster recovery components.
  • Assist with IT projects in all areas of the company including cloud/server infrastructure, networking, data security, e-mail, mobile devices, remote access, and web services.
  • Provide a stable and reliable computing environment by maintaining consistency among all desktops and laptop computers by using system deployment images and maintenance policies.
  • Manage and keep up to date information on IT asset inventory including computers, devices, licenses, accessories, etc.
  • When necessary, escalate more complex systems and network troubleshooting to Sr. IT team members and in-house software/hardware engineers.
  • Monitor operating environment to uphold NIST and DFARS security compliance policies.
  • Update and maintain system documentation, end user training, PC imaging, mobile device configuration, and various aspects of IT systems.

C++ Developer

Eventide's Audio Division, located in Little Ferry, NJ is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join the group responsible for developing its world-class software and hardware products. This is an opportunity to join a small team of dedicated Software & Hardware Product Developers in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking smart, self-directed engineers who are equally passionate about music and audio as well as designing, developing and troubleshooting complex software products.
The ideal candidate will be a person who is driven to take a project from conception to completion – to ship products. Our products are used by musicians, engineers, producers and broadcasters worldwide. We handle all aspects of our product development including hardware, firmware, kernel and application layer development on our ARM-based Audio Signal Processing platform. Our audio plug-in products combine complex signal processing routines with rich yet intuitive user interfaces. 
Because we deal with so many different technologies, we don't expect our candidates to have previous experience with every technology we work with, but our ideal candidate will be an expert C++ developer as well as fluent in several of the areas listed below with the ambition and capacity to quickly learn and gain fluency in others, as well as possess epic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

DSP Developer

Eventide Inc. is seeking an experienced and talented Audio Signal Processing Developer to join our product development team. A passion for music and emerging possibilities for processing sound are critical requirements as is the determination to see their efforts deployed worldwide to musicians, composers, producers and engineers.
