Electronics Technician, Entry-Level

Eventide has a proud 50-year history of delivering world-class audio processing gear to the music, broadcast and film industries. We’re seeking a dedicated, entry-level electronics technician to support our products and customers. This is a full-time position working out of our office in Little Ferry, NJ. Local candidates only.

Requirements:

  • Able to read assembly drawings, schematics, and bill of materials.
  • Able to inspect PCB surface mount assemblies. 
  • Able to perform surface mount component solder rework. 
  • Able to use solder rework equipment (i.e. soldering Iron, hot air, IR rework station)
  • Able to identify computer hardware and/or investigate functionality (Datasheet specifications) 
  • Able to use troubleshooting equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer, function generators, distortion analyzers)
  • Able to assemble computer hardware. 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel)

Electronics Technician, Mid-Level

Eventide has a proud 50-year history of delivering world-class audio processing gear to the music, broadcast and film industries. We’re seeking a dedicated, experienced electronics technician to support our products and customers. Qualified applicants must have experience troubleshooting complex analog and digital circuitry in a manufacturing environment. The position requires exceptional debugging and troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. This is a full-time position working out of our office in Little Ferry, NJ. Local candidates only.

Duties:

  • Perform test procedures using automated test equipment
  • Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot and repair production failures
  • Perform root-cause analysis and document findings
  • Troubleshoot and repair customer returns 
  • Maintain test stations and test equipment, install software upgrades as required
  • Perform other technical tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Two to three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • AAS ET or equivalent education required
  • Proactive and able to work independently in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
  • Experience analyzing and repairing complex circuit boards to the component level.
  • Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and bills of materials
  • Hands on experience with solder rework stations for through-hole and SMT devices (i.e. soldering iron, hot air, solder wave machine, IR rework station). Soldering Certification a plus
  • Experience using basic test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and function generators. Familiarity with spectrum analyzers and audio analyzers a plus.
  • Experience using Windows PCs and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel)

Electronics Assembler

Eventide has a proud 50-year history of delivering world-class audio processing gear to the music, broadcast and film industries. We’re seeking a dedicated, experienced electronics assembler to work in our manufacturing facility, building our flagship audio effects processor. This is a full-time position working out of our office in Little Ferry, NJ. Local candidates only.

Duties:

  • Assemble complex audio processing devices from chassis to final product
  • Ensure product is built according to specifications and assembly instructions
  • Perform Quality Control checks on components, subassemblies and final product
  • Assemble hardware parts and components to produce sub-assemblies using standard hand or power tools and techniques to produce mechanical products
  • Assemble parts together as shown on prints with limited supervision
  • Perform primary inspection on assembled products to ensure cleanliness, quality, and reliability
  • Motherboard assembly, BIOS setup, Network testing, loading and verifying software and licenses
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:

  • One to two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High school, GED or equivalent education required
  • Proactive and able to work independently in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
  • Experience using hand tools and manufacturing equipment (screwdrivers, wrenches, air tools)
  • Ability to identify basic mechanical and electrical hardware (screws, nuts, washers, cables, connectors, etc)
  • Ability to read and understand assembly instructions, parts lists and quality checklists
  • Soldering experience a plus.
  • Experience with typical ESD mitigation requirements
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel) 
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs

Junior Systems Administrator

Eventide Inc., located in Little Ferry, NJ, seeks a full-time Junior Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate will provide timely technical and desktop support for end users and work with them to solve existing problems. They will primarily be supporting end users so experience troubleshooting issues related to Windows 10, Active Directory, DNS and IP networking is required. This is a full-time position working out of our office in Little Ferry, NJ. Local candidates only.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 including baseline security policies.
  • 2-4 years of experience supporting Windows-based workstations and servers.
  • Experience with Azure AD.
  • Experience with Cisco switches and firewalls.
  • Must be able to prioritize work and multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Responsible, proactive, great interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with VMware environments
  • Experience with Mac desktop support.
  • Experience with a scripting language, preferably PowerShell.
