      What is the difference between the "Spillover" function, which allows the tail of the effect to continue when changing presets,…..and "DSP+FX " bypass function, which seems to accomplish the same thing?

      When would you choose one method over the other?

      Mainly that "spillover" only applies when changing presets, and DSP+FX only applies when entering bypass.

      So, as you point out, they do similar things, but at different times.
