I'm using a FCB1010 as my midi foot controller. Running H9 Control on my Macbook Pro (Yosemite), connected to the FCB via a USB to midi cable. My Mac is paired with the H9 with "Midi Over Bluetooth" enabled and everything is working fine. Patch switching using the FCB is great! I also have "Midi Output Mode" set to "Thru." What I'd like to do is run a midi cable from the H9 Midi Out to my Strymon Mobius and be able to have the H9 pass midi PC messages through to the Mobius. This doesn't seem to work when sending midi to the H9 via Bluetooth, though it's working fine when I run a midi cable directly from the FCB to the H9. I'm assuming the H9 doesn't send midi messages received over Bluetooth "thru" to the next device? Hopefully I'm not missing something obvious….

You are missing nothing. There are two different channels going to the H9, the BT and the MIDI.

MIDI Thru works with MIDI In, not BT. It might be confusing otherwise.

The protocol over the BT acts like MIDI, but for many reasons, is not the same.

      Hello.

Is it possible to send MIDI messages via Bluetooth to an H9 with a bluetooth Midi controller. As you said that they are some differences between MIDI and Bluetooth protocol (but it’s maybe only for Midi thru/Out:).

      All the best, Franck

No, not really.  You can take a Bluetooth footswitch like the BlueBoard, connect it to an iOS device, and send it's MIDI program changes to the H9 using the 'Midi Over Bluetooth' feature mentioned above, but you can't connect a Bluetooth footswitch directly to an H9 and send it events directly over Bluetooth.

Ok thank you for your answer, but I don’t get it ^^. Why the H9 doesnt understand Midi message via bluetooth ? Is it a security thing ? Because I’d really like to control H9 without Midi cable on my Midi controller and i don’t want an iPad or iPhone on my Pedal board :).  Well if you have a trick It can be cool 🙂

No, it's not really a security thing.  There are different versions of Bluetooth available, and there aren't many Bluetooth footswitches in the first place, but the ones that are out use a different version of the Bluetooth protocol than the H9.  This Bluetooth connectivity stuff is still pretty new.  I would think with time devices will start working together as you described.
