Hi, I’m after two echo effects (I) I’m trying to find that soft dreamy under-stated echo that people like Andy Latimer used in 70’s, and also Hank Marvin on some songs. I understand that Latimer used two Chandler stereo echo units, and so I reckon H9 might get close. (ii) Pat Metheny uses a PCM 90 to get his dreamy wobbly chorussy echo, again very understated.

Long shot, but has anyone tried to emulate either of these?

I actually don’t know either of those guys- but when I am tryna be ‘understated’ I ususally use the DUCKED delay.  Its awesome, and you can dial the sensitivity in very precisely. And if you flip to vamping, the delay just goes away. It’s nice.
