The title says it all.   Is there some additional setting I need so that the Eventide H9 ‘remembers’ to remain in pre/post mode?   Looks like I’m using firmware 5.4.1. (that’s what appears when the pedal powers up).

I’ve posted an unlisted video to YouTube showing the issue.   Here is that video:

So far I’ve reinstalled the firmware and reset the system settings.   Neither worked – I still have this problem – if I turn power off (and then on again) the routing reverts to “normal” instead if remaining in Pre/Post mode.

Does this apply to any other parameters ? In particular, does it remember the current preset (apart from #1) after power cycling ?

Yes, it ‘remembers’ peresets without any issue – I’ve been gigging this pedal too.

I remembers the preset used after power cycling.

From the user manual for the H9 I followed these instructions to restore factory presets and system settings:

“power up the H9 while simultaneously pressing the Right Footswitch and the big Knob until [INITIA] is displayed.’

Unfortunately, I still have the original problem.  This H9 always reverts to Normal Mode when power-cycled.

Is there anything else that can be done?

If you have not already, try a complete Factory Reset (as described in UM). If that fails, you will probably want to send it in.

There is one possible hardware problem that can cause nothing to be saved at powerdown, but this would include the current preset, so is noit the case.

What you have is not a known problem, and I can't think what would cause it.

Isn’t that what I’ve already done?  A factory reset?   I did open an RMA ticket and will likely send in the pedal for repair today or early next week.

Interestingly, I noticed what appears to be an extra menu item under the Route menu (when in System mode).  Here’s another unlisted Youtube video showing this.  It is my understanding that this isn’t normal.
