Can this brick power an Orange Terror Stomp which has a DC 15V/2A (Regulated) power supply. The spec suggests it will be ok (I think) but there is a lot of debate in my circles about the wisdom of trying it. Has anyone done it and survived to tell the tale?
At 15V, each outlet of the PowerMax 2 gives out 400ma. Assuming you need to give the Orange all 2A of current, you would need to combine the power of 5 outlets. I have never seen a 5-headed parallel flex cable that can do this. I would take a hard pass on this project.
Not to mention, on the PowerMax 2, only 4 outlets are switchable to 15V, so even if you were to attempt it, you would need to find a 1st generation PowerMax.
OK Joe, thanks. It turns out the Orange was faulty anyway so I returned it and plumped for a Humbolt Simplifier instead …. much more expensive but much better and a lot more flexible …. and much simpler power requirements 🙂
