      Hello there,

New with the H9000 here and doing my first basic explorations of VSig.
I’m just connecting a filter between the I/Os and a knob controlling it, but when I move the knob in Emote it’s super clicky on the sound.
I’ve tried a few things to work it out, but don’t really see how to have a nice smooth variation of the parameter.

      Thanks for your help.

I just tried to load up the algorithm Filter_O to see how it was made and adjust my patch, but this Filter_O is also super clicky when you move the filter parameter, why is it ? Am I missing something ?

It depends on the block you are using, but you often get smoother modulation if you use the modulation input (which is often audio), rather than trying to modulate the control input.  It depends very much on which block you use though.

“If I use the modulation input rather than trying to modulate the control input..”  not sure I get this one sorry.

I just want to test the most basic lowpass filter bloc that this can generate and tweak the cutoff frequency with it to be a good sounding filter.
But right now it’s far from that.

Other filters have a mod input.  An example is below. You could also look at smoothing the control input with a slew or lowpass, but it depends on why it’s clicky. Some blocks interpolate control changes to give smooth changes, others don’t.  You may need to change your selection based on specific use cases.
