I’m trying to understand how the library works before my H90 comes. Say I create a preset for a Bouquet delay and save it to the library, then use that same preset in several other programs. If I then tweak that preset in one program, will it go back and update that preset in the other programs that use it?

No. It is possible to end up with different presets with the same name. It’s important for you to keep this in mind.

Bummer. This and the lack of ability to swap presets in a program via MIDI are big limitations.

I see this as a feature, not a bug. Defining algorithmic presets gives you good starting points for sounds you like; not dynamically updating the master when you tweak an instance in a program means that you can fearlessly edit for specific pairings without having to save (and remember the differences between!) a bunch of very similar presets for that algorithm.

It’s an interesting request, I’ll pass it on. For now just create another Program with the algorithms reversed and recall it via MIDI.

Thanks – I’ll do that. Though with those two limitations I won’t be able to do nearly as much as I had hoped with this thing once I get it. My hope/plan was to use one side of the H90 for delay, and the other side for more abstract effects that would only come into play occasionally (ramping tremolo, pitch delays, etc.).

Why I want this functionality: say I have 7 delay presets that I need regular access to (which I actually do in my current rig), and want to have 5 alternative effects on the second side of the H90. To be able to have every combination of effects would require me to have 35 programs. If I then want to tweak one preset, I’m going to have to open every program with that effect preset and manually change it – very tedious.

Ideally I could just have a library of presets that I could call up to either side of the H90 whenever I needed to. If I need to tweak something, I can call up the preset, change it, then save it back to the library. Maybe I’m wrong, but I would think this kind of functionality would be attractive to many, as it functionally allows the H90 to truly replace multiple pedals with a minimum of fuss.

Maybe I misunderstood what you were trying to say in the original post, but you can overwrite the lone preset you’re using across as many Programs as you want. But if you want a copy of that preset, it is possible to have a copy and have it named the same as the original. But, I repeat, if you have a particular preset for an algorithm you use across multiple Programs, as long as you overwrite that same preset, it will reflect across all the Programs (because they’re using the same preset). Does that makes things clear?

I think so. As long as there is a way for me to instantly carry changes on a preset to multiple programs using that same preset, I’ll be pretty content. Thanks for the clarification!
