How to import H9 presets to H90

Hello,

In the shadows of the brand new H9 Mk2 release I’m getting the old thread out again because I now have the same problem. I’ve got so many fine presets of H9 Max (both hardware and plug-ins) and no way to bring them to my new H90. Either there is this strange “insert” message or nothing happens at all.

Then I tried to export the H9-Max presets from the H9 Control app as described here. The catch: I don’t have the H9 anymore, s0 the H9 control launches in Demo mode. That’s probably why there is no “Export” entry in my H9 Control under the Preset Lists>More; am I right?

Can I at least transfer the presets from the H9 Max plug-ins to the H90? The plug ins run in Logic on a Mac with the latest macOS.

Sorry, but the plug-in presets are not compatible to import into H90 Control. You may find some of the same presets in the plug-in and on the pedal, but otherwise you’ll need to recreate them by matching the parameters.

When you use H9 Control in demo mode, you can still export Presets and Preset lists, but you would have had to first saved them to your computer. If you never saved those Presets to your computer, then there is nothing to export.

If you share the exact error message you are seeing when you try to import a Preset, that would be helpful.

It’s also worth noting that the H90 comes with all of the H9 Max factory presets built in. Importing your custom H9 Max presets is fully supported, you just need to export from H9 Control and then import using H90 Control.

Thanks for reporting this. Currently you cannot import H9 lists when the pedal is in Dual Mode but we are looking into the option to allow this. Sorry for the inconvenience.
