        Hello, I’m an H90 user.

        Currently, my pedalboard (see the first diagram below) is set up in a Wet/Dry/Wet configuration. The signal goes from the guitar directly into the H90 pre, then through the PBC10 (loops 1–6 for dry signal effects) to the send output, into a volume pedal, and back into the H90 post. From there, the signal is split: one path goes to the dry amp, and the other returns to the PBC10 to run through wet effects like the Timeline and BigSky, and then finally to the Ruby as a wet-only amp.

        However, with this setup, it’s difficult to use the H90 as a wet effect, so until now I’ve mostly used it for pre-modulation effects like pitch shifter or vibe.

        I’m thinking about connecting the H90 post not before the splitter but into the PBC10’s wet-effect loop, so that the pre section can handle modulation and the post section could be used for modulation and wet effects as needed. I’m planning to chain it like H90 → Timeline → BigSky. I’ve heard this might cause issues with Kill Dry settings.

        Could anyone advise on what I should watch out for with this setup, and what potential

          I don’t know anything about the PBC10, but would the addition of a Morningstar ML10X help you out?  You’d be able to reorder all pedals connected to it (pre or post) per preset.  So one preset has your H90 Pre for the Vibe or Pitch effects, another preset might have your H90 post for delays and reverbs.

          If you try using the H90 as Pre & Post at the same time, you lose the gorgeous stereo delays and reverbs.

            In true W/D/W rigs, it’s generally not a good idea to put too many wet effects in series because you’ll just end up with a wash of signal if all the effects are set to Kill Dry. It’s more common to put your wet effects in parallel so each sees an equal amount of dry signal and you can balance the Kill Dry wet level of each effect accordingly. It’s my understanding that the RJM PBC10 does allow you to mix signals in parallel as long as pedals are connected in loops 7-10, which are stereo capable. Ideally, your “H90 Post”, Timeline, and Big Sky pedals are all routed in stereo and mixed in parallel on the PBC.

            There is a configuration which I call “Pseudo Stereo” where you have more than one effect in series in the wet section. Usually, the first pedal in this chain operates normally, without kill dry, so that some dry signal makes it through to the wet effects after it.
