I overwrote a factory preset I didn’t think I needed, and now I’d like to get it back. It was a synth-sounding preset with escalating modulation or oscillation it reminded me of the Lucas Film THX sound effect. I can’t do a full factory reset because I have many custom sounds saved on my H90. If anyone knows which setting I’m talking about and can send me a screenshot so I could rebuild it, I’d really appreciate it — or if you know of a video where someone goes through all the presets, that would help me identify it.

You should be able to import the factory presets into a new list (or copy your current presets to a new list before importing), then find the original preset you are looking for that way.

That is the problem I can not find or remember the name of the preset.

That’s a tall order for most humans.  But in this case, A.I. is your friend:

Thank you, Brock, Dynamic Swells is the setting I was looking for. If I could find the settings for the patch, I will be all set.

Factory Programs can’t be edited, just the copies of them in User List 1 can be modified.

It has to be in in the Factory List.

If you can clarify whether you’re looking for a PolySynth Preset, or a Program that uses PolySynth, that would improve your search.

As Brock mentioned, the Factory Programs/Presets cannot be edited or erased.

Using H90 Control is the best way to find a certain Program/Preset:

Sounds like you may be searching for the “Dramatic Swell” Program.
