I’m running a tone king imperial preamp pedal With a Empress parametric EQ MKII deluxe pedal. My question is where should I put this parametric EQ in the signal chain. should it go before the preamp or after the preamp between the H90 and the tone king or should I put it in as an insert? I only run completely crystal clean tones.
There is no correct answer to this. The best answer depends on where you require the necessary tone shaping to get things sounding like you want. Nevertheless, the advantage of using the H90’s insert is that you can move the EQ”s position on a program basis; for one Program the EQ could appear before the Eventide effect signal chain, for another in between, or at the end.
