Can you clarify a few things?
1. Where do you have your insert 1 and insert 2 points in reference to Preset A and Preset B?
2. Do you have insert 1 mix parameter set to 0% percent?
3. You say you are running the effects in Kill Dry. Are you running Preset A and Preset B in series or parallel?
4. Is the effect on Insert 2 also set to Kill Dry?

If you run too many effects in series on your wet path and they are all operating in Kill Dry, you run the risk of not feeding enough dry signal to create wet signal. This doesn’t happen when the wet path has all the effects operating in a parallel routing.
