Quadravox/Octovox are 2 of the most innovative plugins I own. I think it’s time to redesign the interface to something more modern, with some additional features.
1. Add a formant value to each entity to correct for the “Mickey Mouse” effect, for example, when a vocal pitch is raised.
2. Have it follow the notes of a MIDI track with chords. This would allow you to play along with your own voice, possibly in realtime.
3. More flashy interface, to compete with others out there. The current one is extremely functional and full of insanely great features, but it looks like an engineer made it, not a musician. I suspect most users have never used the delay, loop and key features, but instead just flounder with an interval trial until it “sounds right”.
4. Possible overtone reverb effect, maybe with saturation and delay.
i love these products and still use them in about half my productions, for creating sub-basses, vocal harmonies and brass choruses for example.
A redesign could get a whole new audience for it.
