I’m using the H9 gen2 in a pre/post configuration with my overdrive pedals in the loop. It works very well and gives me the ability to choose whether the H9 effect is pre or post my overdrives.
There is one feature I would love to see added though. As of now I can’t find any way to control the volume pre loop when the H9 effect is set to be post loop. If it was possible to map the pre loop volume to an expression pedal I would be able to make swells pre overdrive even though the delay effect was post overdrive. As an added bonus the pre loop volume could also be used to boost the overdrive.
When using Pre/Post routing, the input and output gains are applied to whichever path is active. For example, of the Post path is active, the Pre path will pass through unprocessed.
What you are requesting would be a significant change in the pedal architecture, so I would suggest another work around for your use case, like using a volume pedal before the Pre path.
