<p style=”text-align: left;”>I’ve searched the forums and manual but I’m perhaps still confused by this– is there really no panning control or individual stereo out level control for the factor pedals? Only in certain parameters? I see there’s some control when in wet\dry mode via mix, and things like ping pong delay, but I’m surprised I’m not able to find a way to set panning behavior. I just assumed this would be built in and some amount of sweep or automation could be set for things.</p>
I was trying to set up a patch on the Space just to do a simple A\B in stereo mode. With both buttons 1 and 2 set to fully dry, I thought I’d be able to set button one to output only left output, and button 2 only right output. Seems simple enough. Am I missing something? Are individual output levels available (only?) through the global settings and not per-preset?If it can’t do that then I guess my dreams of setting up stereo patches with panned outputs and a rate at which the panning occurs will remain dreams…

I use a mixer. Use an Aux out to the pedal, returns to a stereo channel, or to two channels. You now have control of volume, panning, EQ, etc, of each effect. I use a little Mackie mixer and plug my pre-amp into it, then return my stereo outs to a stereo channel, and the mixer then provides you the mechanism to mix all three (dry + L, and R effect) to the extent you want. Works quite well in a live setting. I send a stereo mix to the PA, but I’ve got control of it up to that point. Among other things, I’m using the Eventide Micro Pitch, which has ping-pong style delays, and the effect is other-worldly with this set up. In a big room (and we have a big PA) it’s just awesome.

Thanks Rocky. I realize there are a lot of options for external routing, I’m just surprised if it’s true that there’s not as much control on board as I thought. I know these pedals have been out for a while but I still like them and it seems like the hardware should be able to accommodate more flexibility. I’ve been hoping eventide would keep updating the factor series, I’m not going to be buying plugins or paying to unlock extra H9 features and most of the artists I work with don’t tend to operate that way either for live performance. I’m glad you’re getting good results though!

Seemingly it’s not a destination, but a journey. We’ll always want to try new things. I certainly see your point, but for me this is what gave me the greatest flexibility and ease, so I took the easy way out.
