Hi Gary,
If you're using Audio Units you can route any of lives audio channels to the sidechain input of the plug-in in the channel output routing section. First, route the channel you want to use as the sidechain to the channel that the plug-in is in. Then right below that choose the destination to be the plug-in sidechain input, rather than the channel input.
