Thanks for the "big picture" reply, but I'm not sure I agree with your assessment of the "rack-o-phobia" phenomenon. Many players, myself included, are either full- or par-time gigging musicians, who are looking for simplicity and portability, and simply refuse to add a rack road case to their setup.
