If you are using a USB to serial to connect to the H8000, it won't care if you disconnect and reconnect the USB. But, Vsig will probably be confused – this is not good practice.
If you set Vsig up for "MIDI/auto disconnect" it will probably be OK, as long as you don't disconnect the USB while it is using it (sending or receiving)..
