As I understand the Tap-A-Whirl, I believe that you’re looking to set Tap Tempo to On in the H9 Max. Then the SPEED parameter on the TremoloPan algorithm can be set to fractional notes. What may seem confusing at first is what the fractions represent.
As far as I can tell, the T.A.W. Tap Divide indicate multiples of the tap itself (beat; 1/4 note). Same result, but two different naming conventions. As an aside, you can switch between tap divisions in the H9 Max using an aux switch or MIDI. Remote control over the “Option knob”.
