We recommend using Apple's Camera Connection Kit to connect Factor pedals to iOS devices. We've tested that set-up with all of the Factor pedals and even using USB hubs to connect multiple Factor pedals, and it works as expected.
We don't have any experience with iConnect, and I'm not sure if that device when connected to a Factor pedal will cause the Factor pedal to appear as a MIDI device on an iOS device. It likely doesn't work that way and is likely the cause of the problem you're having.
