Sorry – don't really understand. If you are trying to set up remote control to knobs and similar parameters you would set the controller to "—" to make the parameter uncontrolled. Don't be fooled by the fact that each parameter can be controlled by AUX, MIDI and EXP.
But, I don't think this is what you mean.
