I think Mod Delay and Vintage Delay are the ones to look at for this type of sound.
To avoid just sounding like a slapback, you want to turn the delay time even lower. Turning the delay below about 20mS will take the delay from slapback range to doubling/chorus range. With delay times this short, feedback will give you a flanger-y sound which may or may not be desirable. I think a bit of feedback here sounds pretty cool with Vintage Delay. Try a MOD SPEED of 0.5Hz as a starting point and adjust MOD DEPTH to taste. Turn the BITS down a little for some digital grit.
