With the H9K I like to have EQs pre and post pitchfactor (set to killdry), with another EQ on a separate channel for my dry sound.
I should add that the mic goes into a Voco Loco preamp/effects loop, which has an EQ, then out to the chain. The VL EQs are limited, just a bass and a treble knob for both in and out, but better than nothing. Yes, I too use Killdry, as it is redundant in this system. I agree that the synth setting is an improvement over the guitar setting.
