Sorry, this configuration is not supported for the H90’s inserts. The device in the insert loop should be either mono > mono when using a mono insert, or stereo > stereo when using a stereo insert.
If you set the insert to stereo, but only connect output 3 to the device, you will only be outputting the left half of the signal since the stereo insert is outputting a stereo signal.
