A Mono in > Stereo out insert is something that could be supported in a future update. I cannot confirm that this will be added or provide a timeline, but I can log your request.
Your second request is also something that could be supported in a future update, but I cannot provide any further information.
You can use the Preset A+B bypass instead of bypassing the Program, and that will keep your inserts in the signal path.
