Glad to hear you got it working.
If you are syncing the Looper to MIDI clock, I would suggest you leave Play Mode at AutoPlay. Turn tempo sync on and set the max length to determine how long you want the loop. Record your loop and let the loop close itself when it reaches the max number of beats. Do not press “Play” to close the loop, as that will enter Dub mode.
If that solution doesn’t work for you, you can use another controller for the dedicated “Play” looper transport control. Pressing record again while you are recording will trigger a “Play/Dub” action.
