Hi Simosaba,
None of this sounds normal so I would suggest contacting support@eventideaudio.com for more troubleshooting. You can send videos of the noise including the harmonizing of it, like you mentioned.
According to the statements below, it’s my opinion the noise already exists in the system. Please link to this forum thread in your message to Support.
This happens with every H90 Program. I even tried, thanks to your advice, using one of the INIT Programs with the two THRU algorithms but the hum barely changes. Of course, it is much more intense when a normal Program is engaged. If, for instance, a Polyphony algorithm is active, it even tends to harmonize with the noise…The noise is still present when I bypass the H90, either when the P Bypass is set to Relay or to DSP (when set to DSP the noise is more intense than when set to Relay when bypassed).
A few more questions:
What kind of an amp do you have?
Are you running it clean like a pedal platform or is it dirty to start with its preamp providing a little overdrive?
If you’re running it clean, do you have an overdrive or distortion pedal you can place in between your guitar and the amp; is the noise still there?
If you have the means, can you connect your H90 outputs to an audio interface and record the outputs to see if the noise you experience is still present? Preferably, an interface with instrument inputs, otherwise you’ll have to connect it to line-level inputs and switch the outputs of the H90 to line level as well. Just trying to determine if taking the amp out of the equation helps alleviate the noise.
How would you describe this noise, is it like white noise or is it a 60 hz cycle hum?
