Yes having just looked at the global mapping options I can see the advantage of, for instance, using CC numbers 1-6 for Quick Knobs 1-6. This would ostensibly save a lot of duplication when it comes to assigning CC numbers to individual programmes where certain parameters are repeatedly assigned to Quick knobs, eg. mix level and so on. But there are many more parameter mappings that are programme specific where you want to select a range of values, e.g. manual mod in vintage wah. Is it permissible to use a mix of Global mappings and performance specific mappings? For example, reserving CC 1-6 for quick knobs and then using CC 7 and above for programme specific mappings. I am referring in all cases here to the use of an external midi controlled expression pedal.
