#1) Glad you got it sorted out.

#2) I run my guitar amp with the FX loop so I’m planning on running the H90 in dual mode with IN/OUT 1 + 3, but I do record a lot as well and am wondering if there’s a way for me to use IN/OUT 2 + 4 as an effects processor for my DAW. I wanted to just use 2 + 4 so that way I’d still have one stereo channel for my DAW without having to unplug my guitar rig/routing for my pedalboard just to run outboard FX. Is there a playlist or something that I can make to toggle this routing back and forth? I thought this would be a no brainer but it seems channels 1/2 and 3/4 are usually stereo linked so I’m not sure if I’d be able to split them up in this way.

You are right, 1/2 and 3/4 are normally stereo linked, but some time ago we introduced a FORCE MONO option that can be found in the System Menu > I/O > Output Mode > FORCE Mono. I have not tried it, but if you will be running effects in mono primarily, you might be able to use 1+3 for your guitar rig and 2+4 for your DAW in mono. Try it and let us know!

If I could work it out, it would be amazing to be able to use some of the H9000 presets from my H9, is there any way to tell if any of the presets on the the H90 came from the H9000?

All the presets in the H90 can be found on the H9000 but currently they are not interchangeable.

#3) What’s the general use case for using the banks? I can see that it definitely saves on button pressing vs manually switching for each preset. But what’s the best way to organize them? Right now my presets are still kind of all over the place, would it be more useful to have a bank dedicated to an effect like “chorus” bank, etc?

Bank mode is there to make it easier to activate programs with one button press. It’s organized in sets of 3, so you may think about it like verse program, chorus program, solo, but there is nothing stopping you from organizing presets how you prefer. If you want to have a bank with all choruses or all reverbs, you can. But think of bank mode as sort of a built in MIDI controller, where with one button press you can activate an effect.

#4) lastly, small thing – when my H90 is connected to H90 control, it shows an update button on the bottom left of the H90 block, I’ve already updated the firmware but the update button is still there. Is my update not taking or does the update button just always show? I have v1.9.10

Is it on the left or the right of the H90 block; it should be on the right. That update icon is always there in case you ever need to see firmware options.
