Why buy a pedal to mimic others? You get it because it’s unique.
I agree with you, 100%. The Eventide algorithms are their own thing, and they’ve always been presented as such. And yet – being so deeply configurable – it’s also possible to emulate many other specific types of processors. The results might not pass corksniffer inspection. Close enough, especially for live use, but it does take some deeper diving.
I’ve uploaded many simulations of rack & pedal effects using that approach. Here is one I put up a few years back that seemed to get a good response. Geared toward the H90, but essentially two H9 Presets that can be mirrored parameter-for-parameter.
