I’m wondering if I can select (change) presets from different banks on the H90 via midi. Eg. preset 1 on RJM selects H90 preset one, bank one. Preset 2 on RJM selects H90 preset 3 on H90 bank 4. Or do I need to build a new bank and copy presets wanted to a new bank.
To clarify terminology, each Playlist on the H90 contains 99 Programs. Each Program consists of two presets. Presets are not selectable via MIDI. If you are changing Programs on the H90 via the RJM, then it’s best to organizing your Programs on the Playlist to already be in the order you need them to be. The H90 does not offer any type of MIDI mapping where you can determine the order of Programs outside the Playlist if you’re sending messages from the RJM in numerical order. The H90 Control app offers the easiest way to duplicate your list and move Programs around so they are in the order you need.
Also, trying to get the tuner to work with RJM. I select h90 tuner on the RJM, but nothing happens on the H90. Will it even send the screen to the RJM? thanks.
First off, in order to engage the tuner on the H90 from a MIDI controller we must assign a CC# to the tuner function in the H90’s System Menu > MIDI > MIDI-Global Ctl > tuner. Then, from the RJM send that CC# with a value of 127. Engaging the H90’s tuner from a MIDI controller will only make the tuner appear on the H90’s display; it won’t broadcast or send tuning information to another device like your RJM.
