Eventide purposefully gives users a Latency parameter in the VocalShift algorithm and clearly states values in the manual:
“Latency Mode: Low/High – Higher latency may result in improved performance with a tradeoff of more noticeable latency. The high latency setting is recommended when using extreme formant settings. Low introduces ~25ms of latency, while High introduces ~50ms of latency.”
The base case pertains to VocalTune and is consistent with the values of your test. Regardless, we’ve not only conducted extensive testing against competitive hardware products, but more importantly, calibrated it with several performers to make sure VocalTune excelled for live use.
