Sorry to hear you are having issues.
Using the H90 Control app would be the best way to troubleshoot the issue since you can see many parameters at once.
If you can connect to your computer and then move the expression pedal, you can see what parameters are mapped to the expression pedal. It has to be mapped to either the input/output gains of a Program, or the Global input/output gains.
It’d be best to email support@eventideaudio.com with a short video that demonstrates the issue, and showing the parameters being adjusted in the H90 Control app.
You could also try loading an INIT Program which will have no mappings be default and see what happens then.
