I came up with (quite) a few test examples, but with wildly different methods of getting there, and differing results.
So to clarify:
- Your prime objective would be the dynamic & organic under foot, plus the variation in sharp attack / Q?
- Nice-to-have would be the smoother swirl found after the rebuild?
- Regarding the HotSwitch, are you looking to toggle those organic components in or out, or prefer those to be ‘always on’ as part of the Manual Sweep?
I think all of this can be emulated, in one way or another. You can toggle the ‘state’ of variations in the manual pedal sweep, but the range of those will either be static values, or set independently. For example, set the ranges of Q-Intensity, Depth, Depth Mod & Manual Mod inside of the treadle sweep itself, or switch in Depth Mod onto a ‘regular’ wah sound to introduce those secondary dynamics.
I don’t intend to confuse the issue over these specifics, but I’m not there hearing what you are looking to simulate. The answers will narrow down the focus, without heading off in the wrong directions. From there, it should be an easier task to adjust to more subtle or extreme results.
