Instead of starting a new thread, I’m experiencing a weird/similar issue. Using a Morningstar M6 Pro. When I send a PC message 1 for my program 1, it loads the program and activates the program. This seems to be correct behavior. However, when sending PC message 2 for program 2, it loads the program but does not activate the program. I also have a CC message set up to act/byp (M), or the other one, I forget, but it’s bypassing the program as it should.
So, program 1 (and I tested it on program 3), using the corresponding PC message, will load the program and activate it. But, for some reason program 2 does not work the same way. I double, triple checked my simple midi message and other than the PC message being 1, 2, or 3, there is no other difference.
So, I went back into H90 control, and I saved program 2 with an “active” state… After doing this, then PC message 2 now loads program 2 and activates it.
Is this normal behavior? You have to save your program in the “active” state for it to respond correctly to the PC message of loading and activating? It took me like 2 hours of back and forth almost ready to give up, until I figured this out.
To the OP, if you want to load a program using the PC message, but have it in the bypass state, maybe try savings your program in the opposite state of what you want?
