I have to chime in here too: I am currently considering dumping ALL my iLok plugins:
The problems seem to mostly be for Windows users: the app just stops working; sometimes after auto-updating.
Then you try to reinstall – the installation fails, but in the process it removes iLok – so now, none of your plugins work.
iLok support consists of a couple of stock solutions; which if they fail, they just stop responding to you.
For an “industry standard” service it is a disgrace, and reflects very badly on companies using their services.
IMHO iLok is not fit for purpose.
I love my Eventide plugins – but unless there are changes from either iLok or Eventide side, I will sadly have no choice but to stop using them.
