For an “industry standard” service it is a disgrace, and reflects very badly on companies using their services.
IMHO iLok is not fit for purpose.
… I will sadly have no choice but to stop using them.
I would like to share the sentiment above having experienced all of the failings in iLok to the loss of hundreds of dollars of legitimately purchased plugins that have been unusable since shortly after purchase onward directly attributed to iLok failures. I have recently upgraded from Studio One 4, and the only clear solution to the problem that is iLok, is to avoid iLok completely. This, unfortunately, means never again supporting developers who insist on using a licensing system that fails so completely and consistently. The solution to preventing financial loss to me is never again purchasing iLok required products.
Simply put, I and my money have no interest in wasting more time and resources on a failed system that rips me off.
