I got stuck down this rabbithole myself. Parallel paths (no pun intended), with some divergence.
I see from your ‘Volante Translator’ layout that you’re using the H90, which makes perfect sense. I happened to be using the H9 Gen 2 here, finding it really fast for testing these ‘one-off’ scenarios. But instead of straight emulations, I ended up on a more Head Space-centric approach. Playing into one of its strengths: tape mangling / time warping.
Fairly normal multi-head tape delay, for the most part. EXP1 crossing mid-throw (or full-Toe oscillation) is where the glitch-iness kicks in temporarily. Easily recovered with pedal moves to other fixed positions. Not your focus, of course. Just where this exploratory mission landed on my end.
