Hi there,
I want to set an external switch to toggle between 2 program level output gain levels (say 0 and -6). How can I set that up? I tried mapping the switch to the global P Out parameter, but it jumps between the min and max values which is too much.
Any way I can set that up?
Thanks

On the pedal itself, follow the 6.4 Parameters process described there. Perfectly illustrated in Fig. 6.25. Instead of the MIDI parameters shown in the next section 6.4.1 Mapping, you’ll be dialing in an AUX switch (1 to 6). Fig. 6.29 is where you’ll adjust the range from 0.0 & -6.0 dB.
It’s even easier using H90 Control, just mouse clicks & slider controls. It’s also possible to add more versatility, by mapping the AUX switch to a HotSwitch function.
That is, other parameter changes can be mapped along with the Out Gain, as a ‘macro’. Then all of it gets triggered – momentarily or latching – by the Aux switch, or onboard Performance switches.

… the only small gripe is that it has to be done for every program, I wish the global param would be configurable e.g. min/max values.
I seem to have had some issues replying to this …
That’s been feature-requested here, but I can also see how it might cause a few issues with some end users. Globally switching from -60 to +12 dB would rarely make sense. With MIDI, the ranges can potentially be limited at the source.
Something else to try, if you roll-your-own Programs. It won’t work if you prefer to scroll through established Factory or User Programs.
I keep fairly consistent mappings for all my external controls. It minimizes figuring out what goes to what, especially in a live scenario. But it also means a lot of programming repetition goes into my initial Program building.
So I start with a base Program template. Two Thru Presets, and all of the Program-level controls pre-mapped where I want them. Then fly in whatever pair of Presets I have in mind, and save that as my ‘New Program’.
In your case, you could map Out Gain to an AUX switch in an INIT Program, adjust the ranges, save it as a Program template, and use that as your starting point for any newer Programs.
*** The same ‘transferable mappings’ will apply at the Preset level, Saved to Library. Too many algorithms & too little time for me to build that many templates. ***
