I’m trying to connect my h90 to the FX Loop with my axe fx 3 and kemper profiler. Connecting h90 Output 1 and input 1 it works fine with one unit. However, if I connect my 2nd connection to h90 Input/output 3, I can’t get it to work? I see signal present on the h90 but the effect is not coming through the amp? I watched the videos about signal routing. I’m sure there’s some simple setting in the h90 i’m overlooking. I did use input/output 2 along with input/output 1, of the h90, for this combination and it worked fine. although, i don’t think it’s recommended. I did set the dual and insert setting but it just won’t give signal. I’m doing this setup in Mono.

Can you clarify if you’re trying to run the H90 in stereo or if you are trying to use the H90 in Dual mode and connect each path to an insert of your Axe FX?

Ultimately, I just want to have it connected to both the AXE fx and Kemper for conveniance. I use only one unit(axe fx, kemper) at a time. I don’t want to replug cables when i go from one amp to the other. I’m also open to suggestions as I like the stereo effects of the h90. Whatever you would recommend for ease of use is what i’ll go with.

If you want the H90 connected to both the AxeFX and Kemper my recommendation would be to run the H90 in Dual Routing mode in the Global System Menu. This way, each path on the H90 will operate as an independent stereo effects processor.

              Path 1 (I/O 1&2 or I/O 1 for mono)
              Path 2 (I/O 3&4 or I/O 3 for mono)

Then you can place both Eventide algorithms on Path 1 in series or parallel, both on Path 2 in series or parallel, or one on each if you want.
Make sure you set the operating level of the H90 based on whether you’re using the inserts for each amp modeler in instrument or line level.

Thanks alot for the advice Joe! Can the routing mode be changed in h90 control? or just on the unit?

It can only be adjusted on the pedal. Simultaneously press Programs and Routing to enter System Menu. Under Global, change Routing to Dual. Click third quick knob to confirm. Be aware that any Programs you currently have in Insert Mode will NOT automatically translate to Dual Routing mode. You’ll have to recreate them.
