H9 – INGAIN not showing in H9 UTILS menu

I’ve updated the pedal to the latest version (5.9.1) and followed the UM to try to get to the INGAIN setting. When going into the UTILS menu I see all the other menu items ROUTE,PRESET,SOURCE,PDCAL,EXPTIP,SER*, and SW VER.

INGAIN doesn’t exist on either of my H9 pedals.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

Hello sgcrowley. INGAIN was a feature we got rid of years ago. As you can read in the FAQ of the H9 Max, under Troubleshooting, we discuss the reasons why. What are you connecting to the H9 that requires an adjustment?

I am using a PRS Custom 24. With the volume and tone up, I noticed the meters in the app were at about halfway. I didn’t notice any noise per se, but I’ve just been going through the user manual checking things out.

Halfway is perfectly normal and you have plenty of headroom for even the loudest active pickups or preceding effects that may be very hot. You’re golden.
