      Hi,

I'm trying to find the unity gain with this pedal but can't find it. It seems to be a +12dB gain "somewhere" that is impossible to trim.

When I use the "true bypass" ( Relay ) the level goes back to normal but with DSP & DSP+FX the signal is way higher than "unity gain".

I use the H9 in a Voodoo Lab swithching system and the volume gain I have when I engage the H9 loop is terrible.

Is there a way to change this "active bypass gain" back to normal or is there a problem with my pedal?

      Regards,

      Lars

      I respond to myself:

It's a impedance problem. I use the Radial EXTC, to feed the Voodoo Lab GXC, and this crappy box have only 1K ohm input impedance at the loop return. ( The spec. says 10K but not my multimeter ) 100K – 1M ohm is what "normal" guitar equipment normally has, or?

The H9 working as an "expensive" buffer in this case and can feed the low impedance of the EXTC. My vintage efx-boxes can not 🙁

Putting a MXR buffer in front of the EXTC return input cures this…
