I’m using pitch flex for a whammy pedal effect however the sweep isn’t smooth. It sounds like it’s moving in distinct increments. I’ve recalibrated a couple times but doesn’t change the sweep. I’m using the Mission SP-H9

Hello,
- Is your H90 updated to the latest software version?
- Are you mapping the “Manual Shift” parameter to the expression pedal? It doesn’t look like it since I can see that parameter is not updating on the screen when you move the pedal. You need to map the Manual Shift parameter to achieve smooth pitch sweeps.
Let me know if that helps.

Thanks,I updated the firmware and also tried the manual shift but it’s still has a step up feel and not a smooth sweep.

Thanks for sharing the video, this explains the problem:
- Your expression pedal should only be mapped to “manual shift”. Your video shows that it is also mapped to the heel/toe parameters, and this is incorrect.
- Set your “heel” parameters to be the shift amount you want when the pedal is at heel position.
- Set your “toe” parameter to be the shift amount you want when the pedal is at toe position.
- When you sweep the manual shift parameter, it will sweep between the heel and toe shift values.
If you are not understanding how to configure the heel/toe parameters, please let me know what sound you are trying to accomplish and I can help you further.

To contrast & compare, you may want to try using the PolyFlex algorithm in the same configuration.
