      I get past the erase stage, and the updater only gets to 5%, 10% sometimes. I have never had this issue with the updater before and I just don't understand why this would occur out of the blue. Please help!

      I have tried installing and re-installing the software and nothing works. I fear the worst.

      FIXED!!!!!!!!

      For some reason the update utility would not complete while running on my laptop. I ran it off my desktop and it worked fine. I don't know what the hitch was but I am happy there was nothing wrong with the unit.
